These terms apply to the VocNote app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, and to VocNote’s videos and accounts on social media (“VocNote”, “we”, “us”). By using VocNote you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
VocNote is a vocabulary notebook for personal learning. You may use it for any lawful personal purpose. Do not misuse it: do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer our services, access other people’s accounts or data, or use automated means to copy our content.
The words, notes and other content you add are yours. We do not claim ownership of them. If you turn on VocNote Cloud, you let us store and sync that content only so the app can work for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you add, including feedback and suggestions you send us; if you send a suggestion for shared content (such as a vocabulary map), you allow us to use and adapt it.
The app, its design, the Sóc mascot, the built-in vocabulary sets, and VocNote’s videos are owned by us or our licensors (open-data sources are credited in the app). You may watch and share our videos using the platforms’ own sharing tools, but you may not re-upload, sell or use them commercially without permission.
An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
VocNote Premium is sold through the App Store or Google Play and is governed by their terms, including refunds. Premium features may change over time; we will not remove the core benefits you paid for without offering a reasonable alternative where required by law.
Meanings, examples, quizzes and other learning content — including text suggested by on-device Apple Intelligence or written with the help of AI for our videos — are provided for learning and may contain mistakes. Please use your own judgement and report errors to us.
We work to keep VocNote running, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and may change, pause or stop. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use VocNote means you accept the updated terms.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of VocNote. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
